The Private Facebook Group as well as our other social platforms, are meant to provide informal, non-medical support for Military Sexual Trauma Victims. The following social media platforms of ItsNotJust700 share information for individuals who have suffered MST:
· Website www.itsnotjust700.ca
-The Private Facebook group includes both men and women, including LGBTQ2+, consisting of current and former members of the CAF that experienced and/or currently experiencing Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Members are being added daily and is exclusively for serving members or retired members of the CAF who experienced an MST (Military Sexual Trauma).
-The "It's Not Just 700" public Facebook page, webpage, Twitter and Instagram accounts are available to everyone.
Being a member of the Private Group means that any information, including members’ names, entails a strict code of confidentiality that all members are mandated to follow.
Warning: We have an arrangement with the military police (who can liaise with provincial and city police) that anyone using our platforms to find victims will be reported. Furthermore, because of the media interest due to the recent class-action lawsuit and other events, we have to be a bit more careful as to who we are introducing into the Private group, so you may be asked to provide verification of CF/CAF service.
This is important for a number of reasons, but most importantly to protect each and every member of the group from further victimization from the media, other military members, etc.
It goes without saying that any member of this Private Group is not to divulge in any way, shape, or form, any information of any member in this group, including names. The Group Rules and Guides will need to be reviewed by all members regularly.
Please note: Any CAF Member attempting to access our group fraudulently, will be reported to the military police. In addition, anyone betraying the confidence of the group or violating the posted rules they agreed to follow will be removed as per the Group rules and Guides.
To activate membership to the Private Facebook group, go to the link below and ask to be let in; when we see you've answered the questions, and you meet membership criteria, we will admit you.
These are the Group rules effective August 2021.
A team of Moderators volunteer in order to keep the Private Facebook group space safe and respectful for all members.
This insert will be updated as any new rules are added or revised.
