INJ700 is a volunteer run, non-funded organization, that advocates for those impacted by Military Sexual Misconduct and Military Sexual Trauma in the Canadian Armed Forces. We provide an informal peer-2-peer support platform, a social network, and informational resources to our members (serving and veterans of the CAF) who have directly experienced the misconduct and subsequent trauma. The support provided is to assist those impacted by MST in their journey of recovery.
It's Not Just 700 is an independent, unfunded, volunteer-run organization of over 500 members that advocate for survivors of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and gender-based discrimination, while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. We provide informal peer-to-peer support and social networking in our Facebook Group (Secret), as well as information on resources available to those who need to access medical care and support. Our successful history of advocacy efforts has ensured that inappropriate sexual behaviour and sexual violence in the Canadian military can no longer be denied, tolerated or encouraged. Our community is here so that no one has to for through Military Sexual Trauma [MST] alone. We are here for our peers.
We are not medically trained to assist in crisis. It is important to understand that this is a group of volunteers and peers who are here to support those impacted by MST, at the same time as they navigate through their own journey of recovery. Please respect that everyone is in their own place in this process. There is Zero Tolerance for abuse of any kind while accessing our services.

"I thought I was alone in my grief and pain, until I found this group..."
It's Not Just 700 (formerly itsjust700) was founded in May 2015 by Marie Claude Gagnon in response to the Madame Deschampe's Report on Sexual Misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.
MC's tireless efforts have helped create real and lasting change to ensure MST Survivors are treated equitably by the CAF, the Department of National Defence (DND) and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). She highlighted the many and various ways that MST Survivors have been systematically discriminated against and applied enough pressure on the Government of Canada that many of the roadblocks to recovery have been acknowledged and addressed. Budget 2021 reflects these efforts. A $72 M commitment to a national platform for peer support was MC's number one priority. Our community owes MC a debt of gratitude for her service, passion and accomplishments.
Since its inception, IJ700 (now INJ700) has had over 43,000 visitors and 82,000 views on its website, 1400 followers on our Twitter Account @itsnotjust700.There are 540 active members in the secret Facebook Peer Support Page.
To join the secret group please email email@example.com. You must be a veteran or active serving member. "We are a passionate group of volunteers who collaborate with stakeholders, both within government and civil society, to share our lived experience and help end the scourge of sexual misconduct in the CAF." Our primary goal is to facilitate healing, provide guidance about what resources are available, and support our brothers and sisters who have experienced service-related sexual trauma.
Welcome to our site! We hope it offers insight into the fight for change. More importantly, we hope it offers hope to anyone suffering alone. There are valuable resources available to help you navigate this difficult time. You do not need to suffer alone because of MST.
Much work has been done in the area of Military Sexual Misconduct and Military Sexual Trauma in Canada. One of the things all of us recognize through this work, is it's not just 700 affected; it is so many more. It is with this in mind as well as the transition to new leadership, we feel it's an appropriate time to make this name change. But be clear, while the name has changed, the mission and vision that MC set out with remains the same - to ensure that no member of the CAF or Veteran has to face MST alone.
Because of IJ700 ... I have been able to move along in my journey of healing. I owe them a lot.
